Tom Sturridge — Nominee for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play


Phillip, a seemingly simple-minded and emotionally-damaged orphaned youth who has spent his entire life inside a decrepit row house in North Philadelphia.

Bio Brief:
Tom Sturridge made his Broadway debut in the scene-stealing role of Phillip in Lyle Kessler's Orphans. He began acting as a child in the 1996 television adaptation of Gulliver's Travels. He is best known for his roles in films including Pirate Radio, Being Julia, Vanity Fair, Like Minds and The Boat That Rocked.

Tony History:
This is Sturridge's first Tony nomination.

Fun Fact:
Sturridge and actress Sienna Miller have been in a relationship since March 2011. They welcomed their first child, daughter Marlowe Ottoline Layng on July 8, 2012.
