Playwright Neil Simon has set 45 Seconds from Broadway in the real-life Café Edison, a small but popular Broadway haunt. In the comedy, the hangout is called “The Polish Tea Room” and features a cast of characters drawn from the theater community. The comedy follows its characters through winter, spring, summer and fall.
