Awake and Sing! Makes a Starry Return to Broadway
Seventy-one years after its debut at the Belasco Theatre, Clifford Odets' Depression-era drama Awake and Sing! has returned to its original Broadway home in a revival produced by Lincoln Center Theater. With a cast that includes three generations of acting talent (Ben Gazzara as the patriarch, Jonathan Hadary and Zoe Wanamaker as the parents, Lauren Ambrose as their daughter and Mark Ruffalo as the family's boarder), the production attracted a lively crowd at its opening night party, held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel ballroom in Times Square on April 17.
