Judge Lawrence Driver is a conservative powerhouse on the bench, but a failure at home. Now retired, widowed, and seeking redemption, Lawrence volunteers to do pro bono legal work with Tanya, a vulnerable ex-con with a troubled teenage son, while working to repair the increasingly complicated relationships with his own adult children. When his newfound generosity is perceived as condescension, Lawrence runs the risk of losing everything.

Story

What Is the Story of Don't Go Gentle?
Judge Lawrence Driver is battling cancer, and to ease his mind and keep himself busy, he uses his expertise in law to help those wrongfully accused, including single mom Tanya and her teenage son Rasheed. What begins as simple assistance soon escalates, and Judge Driver invites Tanya and Rasheed into his home and his family. His two adult children (each functionally addicts) have a lot to say about their father's new wards, and the formerly conservative Driver's two families soon come to blows, changing the lives of all five characters forever.
