"Amazing performance! The cast/musicians poured their hearts into the performance and brought my daughter to tears multiple times. I am not familiar with the story of Orpheus & Eurydice but Act II really tied everything together for me. "As a professional musician, I’ve played a lot of music from musicals, and have found it, well, lacking. Not counting playing actual musicals, I’ve only been to see one, once: Wicked, and in my home town. The theater is enormous, the sound was uneven, even though the performers were obviously very talented, I thought I had seen my last musical - no need to go again. Well, until I happened to be in NYC and acquiesced to seeing Hadestown with my wife. O…M…G. it was spectacular. No, it was astonishing. I didn’t know Broadway theaters would or could be this “small” and intimate. The level of musicianship coupled with a crazy amount of energy truly blew my mind. To anyone out there who thought musicals were “meh,” go get your mind changed seriously, and see Hadestown. You. Will. Love. It."

My life was changed.
"Hi!! I walked into the show knowing most of the songs, but never watching the story in its entirety, and it was absolutely perfect. There were so many moments where I was brought to tears, even moments where that wasn’t the intention. The lighting, set, orchestra, choreography, and especially the little acting choices made by the cast really put me in the story. Hailey Kilgore and Carlos Valdes played Eurydice and Orpheus in such a genuine, real way. The story is truly so nuanced and in depth, but it may be difficult for those who aren’t theater connoisseurs, like me, to fully absorb. Regardless, if you have the opportunity to see this show, take it. This is my second broadway show, I got to go for my 16th birthday, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. My selfie with Carlos Valdes was a plus, too!"

"From start to finish this show was amazing! The music and dancing were phenomenal! I laughed. I cried. And I’ve spent the last week singing the songs over and over in my head—the music is THAT good! I brought my 3 daughters to the show, ages 18, 15, & 12. We’ve never seen a Broadway show together. This was perfect! They enjoyed it as much as I did. "I cried 3 times on the Subway back to my hotel. Jordan Fisher was the perfect casting choice. Maia Reficco is so talented that I can't believe she hasn't been on Broadway before.
