Welcome to opening night of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a Broadway show—a ramshackle set, a leading lady with a concussion, and a corpse that can’t play dead. It’s a classic murder mystery… and it’s a mystery how it ever got to Broadway!
"If you are a fan of madcap comedy this is a play for you. This was my second time seeing it on Broadway plus I saw a regional production of it last year.
It is non stop silliness and the actors never make it feel anything but fresh.
There were children in front of me in this performance and they totally loved it as did my 40 year old daughter and I. A play for all ages.

"From the moment you took your seat, there was chatter from other patrons around me whispering how "funny" this show was. The non stop connection with the audience, the comfort the actors had in their role as they connected with each line and written scene was immensely incredible and hysterical. I haven't bellie laughed in a long time. This ensemble was beyond my expectations. A true team of wonderful actors doing what they love and sharing that with us. A perfect night"

"Yes, this was our 5th time to see this play in the last 14 years we’ve been coming to NYC (actually one of the times was in Orlando or Chicago? We travel a lot. LOL!). Lots of physical comedy, no music, and so many comedy nuances to laugh at. Bottom line, we laughed hard and I’ll bet we see it again."

"Very funny. Even when one had come to expect certain jokes, ones that had already been seen at various points in the play, they were funny again when a slightly different version was presented, sort of like Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther series."

"The actors were marvellous with both their verbal and physical comedy. The play was fast moving and they involved the audience. I haven’t laughed that hard during a play since I saw Noise is Off years ago."

"This play was well done, was an absolute riot and our gang enjoyed it immensely. The actors/actresses were perfect for their parts. They were completely convincing when inhabiting their characters, and when going off script!"

"I wasn’t really sure what to expect given the size and layout of the theater but this show had me laughing out loud the whole two hours! The physical comedy was outstanding. Had only participated in a couple of plays in high school/college but good god this show nailed the experience!! Highly recommend for ages 14 and up"

"We weren't sure what to expect, we had just heard that it was funny! The actors were amazing, perfect comedic timing, playing to the audience. Don't want to give away the plot.....but the entire audience, from the teen-ager next to me to the "older" folks were laughing the entire time!!
Younger kids will enjoy the physical comedy while the adults will appreciate the subtleties.
You Can't Go Wrong!!

"We last saw this show two years ago. It was great then. And it was even better this time. While the arc was generally the same, the play had clearly been reinterpreted by the same crew in ways both big and small. My daughter and I loved the fresh take. "

"We liked it all. My husband and I had seen it when it was on the road. We liked it so much we wanted to see the Off-Broadway version. So cute! We especially liked the actor who played Cecil. His mugging for the audience was hilarious and totally in keeping with the spirit of the play. The rest of the ensemble was great, too. The fight between the two women was hilarious and the physical element of the play was well done and well timed."

"I don't think there was a single thing I didn't enjoy. It's hard to find comedy that's fun and safe for the whole family, but this hit the mark well. It was successful in being side-splittingly hilarious without being vulgar or having excessive foul language. Great job to the whole cast and crew. I'll likely come back to watch it again with the rest of my family."
