Story

What Is the Story of Reasons To Be Happy?
Neil LaBute’s Reasons To Be Happy is a companion piece to his Tony-nominated play Reasons To Be Pretty, but fear not, you didn’t have to catch Pretty to love Happy. Steph and Greg are exes who run into each other again, only now Steph is married to another man and Greg is dating plain Steph’s beautiful friend Carly. Carly is recently divorced from Kent, who is doing his best to manage his jealousy and anger issues. As Greg and Carly’s relationship becomes more serious, Steph and Greg can’t ignore their inexplicable chemistry, and soon Greg has to choose which life will really make him happy.
