Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. With a book that has sold millions of copies worldwide and a film that’s one of the highest-grossing romantic dramas of all time, the musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’s The Notebook comes to Broadway following a critically acclaimed world premiere engagement at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in the fall of 2022.
"The way they presented the characters from young, middle and older ages and the mix of nationalities were awesome. Truly enjoyed the funny lines and the singing was amazing!!! It was very thought provoking…"

"We are here to see 8 musicals in 6 days. Last one I chose was Notebook first one we saw. Immediately went to top five all time of the 100 we’ve seen. Actors were all, 100% excellent, singing was excellent, songs were 100% spot on, and sets were fantastic. Do yourself a favor and GO. You will be delighted and agree. Story line impacts everyone as the population ages and this was far far better than the movie or book "

"I came to The Notebook, knowing I was going to see a romance show, but what surprised me is how it’s so much more than “just a romance.” My husband chose not to go with me because he didn’t feel like a sappy romance, but I told him he really missed out on a deeply human show that touches on aging, love, relationships with lovers, friends and family. I must admit that the Kleenex’s I brought were completely soaked by the end. I was most especially touched by the love that I clearly saw in the old Noah for his wife who is struggling with Alzheimer’s. In the movie, you barely see them, but in the play, they are ever present, which reminds the audience that love is so much more than just physical attraction, it’s enduring and deep. I highly recommend this show!"

"Everyone can relate to this highly emotional story. Cast members are all top notch. New younger super talented actors (young Noah and Allie) bring a spark to the play I had not seen before when I saw the play back in May.
Great performances! A must see to musicals lovers before it ends on December. "

"I brought my wife to see a recent Saturday matinee as I hoped she would enjoy it. Never did I expect that I would equally enjoy it and be moved to tears. We did not expect some of the humorous moments or how perfectly the evolution of the couple was portrayed. Literally, half the place was bawling. The singing, the acting, the staging-the amazing music. Man, it is one hell of a show. Bravo to the entire cast. Thank you for an amazing time, and thanks for getting me interested in acting again. "

"Loved the Notebook. The entire cast was so very talented. The director did a great job of showcasing young Noah and Allie with their older selves. Very well done. Didn’t include everything in the book or movie; but the music more than made up for it. "

"My husband and I did not know anything about the story before we went. We were pleasantly surprised. This production had it all - a warm and tender love story, humor, and great musical numbers performed by a great cast. Both of us (and a lot of those around us) were moved to tears. To me, that says something when the audience is moved to tears by a wonderful script and a group of very talented actors. A must see!!"

"The story held true to the book and movie. It was very well done. The cast and crew were superb. I didn’t think my husband would enjoy the play as much as me but he loved it, too.
The downside is I’m truly sorry the Notebook’s final performance is in December.
If you have the opportunity to see this play, please do, you won’t be disappointed."

"I would not have been running to see The Notebook on Broadway, but a review by a trusted friend lead me to buy a ticket. And boy am I glad I did. What a beautiful show! SO moving. I'm don't think I've ever seen a theater of more people moved to tears. I was already a bubbling mess at intermission, and by the end I was crying out loud in my seat. I didn't move for at least 5 mins when the lights came up. Fantastic performances, especially by the Older versions of the characters. (And the young versions were stellar as well). What a book! Such a shame it is closing. Go see this show!"
