With a New Portrait, Stephen Schwartz is Popular at Tony's DiNapoli
While his songs entertain thousands of people every week on the Great White Way, Stephen Schwartz doesn't stand directly in the spotlight very often. On Thursday, October 19th, however, that changed for the composer of the mega-hit musical Wicked, when Schwartz was summoned to Tony's DiNapoli in Times Square for the unveiling of his portrait on their “Broadway Wall of Fame.” Surrounded by many members of the Wicked company, we happily joined the celebration.
