About the Venue
The Building was originally the Huron Club, a popular meeting place and night club for the Democratic Party. The main floor was transformed to a theatre in the 1920’s. In the 1960’s it was operated as the Village South which housed Playwrights Unit Workshop directed by Edward Albee.
