There's plenty of ice cream, pizza and chili cheese dogs to go around as Dead Accounts—the new family comedy about money, mystery and Midwestern munchies—opens on November 29 at Broadway's Music Box Theatre.
Two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz and megawatt movie star Katie Holmes play bickering siblings Jack and Lorna (respectively) who duke it out in their kitchen in Theresa Rebeck’s raucous new play. Joining Butz and Holmes are Tony nominee Jayne Houdyshell, Josh Hamilton and TV and movie star Judy Greer.
Dead Accounts charts the mysterious midnight appearance of Jack, a crafty New Yorker whose return to his Midwestern home in the middle of the night is greeted by his sister Lorna, who raises her eyebrow and a lot of questions. Why is he back? Where did he get all this money? And where is his wife everyone hates?
The show is directed by Jack O’Brien and features scenic design by David Rockwell, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by David Weiner and sound design/music by Mark Bennett.
