The Story

What is the Story of The Snow Geese?
The Snow Geese is the emotional and vivid story of Elizabeth Geasling, a widow who is coping with the recent death of her devil-may-care husband as her family gathers at their hunting lodge in upstate New York in the fall of 1917. It's the beginning of snow geese hunting season, and Elizabeth’s sister, Clarissa, and brother-in-law, Max, a German doctor driven out of Syracuse in the fervor over World War I, are living with her. Also on hand are Elizabeth's sons Duncan, a Princeton grad who's about to ship off overseas wtih an elite regiment, and Arnold, who has discovered that his late father left the fmaily penniless.
