Cory English
Cory English will join the cast of Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein on November 25 as Igor, trusted assistant to Dr. Frederick Frankenstein. He will replace Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald, who is set to complete his run at Broadway’s Hilton Theatre on November 23.

Based on the Oscar-nominated 1974 film, Young Frankenstein is Brooks’ comic re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic. English will join current cast members Roger Bart, Shuler Hensley, Beth Leavel, Fred Applegate, Michele Ragusa, and Kelly Sullivan.

English began his career in New York, where his Broadway credits include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Hello Dolly, Damn Yankees, Guys and Dolls and Tyne Daly’s Gypsy. He then moved to London, and his West End theater credits include Mary Sunshine in Chicago, Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls with Ewan McGregor and Jane Krakowski, and Max Bialystock in Mel Brooks’ The Producers.
