What's the Story of Grease?
Set in the rock’n’roll and doo-wop driven 1950s, Grease is a classic musical tale of mismatched boy meets girl. The show focuses on two close cliques of rebellious teenagers at fictional Rydell High (greaser bad-boys the T-Birds and tough girls The Pink Ladies) as they dance, bicker, break-up and make-up in grand high school musical style. T-Bird leader Danny falls hard for innocent new-girl-in-school Sandy, but when his bad-boy image is threatened by Sandy’s sweet influence he caves to peer pressure, breaking Sandy’s delicate heart sending the social circle into upheaval. As the groups cope with a deluge of teenage drama and try to make it to graduation intact, Danny fights to undo his mistake before he loses his true lady-love for good. Ultimately, Grease is all about learning how to “go together”–and how a little rebellion can go a long way.

What is Grease Like?
All big bouncing numbers and crooned 50s-style tunes, Grease is an all-American romp down memory lane for most and a hand-jiving dance-a-thon for new fans. Boasting a memorable playlist of beloved tunes from both the original show and the ever-popular 1978 movie (“Greased Lightnin’,” “You’re The One That I Want”) and scores of youthful gags, the show rides high on its universal appeal.

Is Grease Good for Kids?
Though the colorful Grease claps along at a steady pace appropriate for younger audiences, typical teenaged sex talk, immature potty humor and one adult situation involving a potential teenage pregnancy may be over the heads of your tiniest ticketholders. If your crew can make it through the move, they’ll be just fine in the audience.

Ace Young as Kenickie
Young is best known for his appearance on the fifth season of American Idol, where he placed seventh. He went on to earn a Grammy Award nomination for co-writing with fellow Idol alum Chris Daughtry on his hit single "It's Not Over". More
