Eight shows a week is one thing, but 24 hours? Even the biggest stars in Hollywood can give that much time to appear onstage for charity. And so it went at the ninth annual 24 Hours Plays on Broadway, in which Jen (as in Aniston), Demi (as in Moore) and many, many others gathered at the American Airlines Theatre on November 9 to strut their stuff. The process began the evening of November 8, when six playwrights were assigned starry casts and told to come back the next morning with a 20-minute script ready for rehearsal and—12 hours later—a Broadway debut. The event raised big bucks for Urban Arts Partnership, a nonprofit that brings arts education programs to New York City public schools. Couldn’t be there to share the fun?
