Tickets are now available for The New Group’s production of Sam Shepard’s A Lie of the Mind. The revival, directed by Ethan Hawke, begins performances at Theatre Row’s Acorn Theatre on January 29, 2010.
A Lie of the Mind centers on Jake, a man who may have murdered his own wife in a jealous rage. While seeking refuge in the home of his abusive mother, Jake’s brother Frankie becomes ensnared in the fray when he begins to investigate the event himself. The play had its New York debut in December 1985 at the Promenade Theater, directed by the playwright and starring Harvey Keitel, Amanda Plummer, Aidan Quinn and Geraldine Page.
The revival will star Keith Carradine, Josh Hamilton, Marin Ireland, Laurie Metcalf, Alessandro Nivola, Maggie Siff and Frank Whaley.
A Lie of the Mind is set to run through March 20, 2010.
