The West End production of the Tony-winning musical Avenue Q is on the move again. After opening at the Noel Coward Theatre and then transferring to the Gielgud Theatre, the show will now move to the Wyndham’s on March 19.
In addition to the move, there will also be number of changes in the cast: Paul Spicer (Notes from New York, Taboo, Fame) will take over from Daniel Boys as Princeton/Rod; Jacqueline Tate (Phantom of the Opera) will play Christmas Eve and Delroy Atkinson (currently starring in Jihad! The Musical) returns to play Gary.
The Wyndham’s current tenant, An Inspector Calls, will close a week early (on March 13) to facilitate the transfer of Avenue Q to the Wyndham’s. The Gielgud will be the West End home of the Tony-winning revival of Hair, which will take residence there on April 1.
