The train of names starring in the New Group's revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind reads more like a guest list than a cast list: Keith Carradine, Laurie Metcalf, Marin Ireland, Josh Hamilton, Alessandro Nivola, Maggie Siff, Frank Whaley, Karen Young...and did we mention Ethan Hawke directed it? The show was even starrier than usual on February 18, however, when friends, family and admiring fans packed the Acorn Theatre to see just what this cast of talented stage and screen regulars has done with Shepard's epic family drama, which hasn't been produced in New York in almost 25 years. The show, which is about what happens to two families after a husband’s brutal attack on his wife, pulled in all manner of visitors, and we were there to get the photos at the opening night party at Montenapo.
