It's been 50 years since Broadway audiences were first touched by The Miracle Worker, the real-life story of Helen Keller, the blind and deaf girl who became an activist and inspiration through the help of miraculous teacher Annie Sullivan. On March 3, 2010, the show will officially return to the Rialto for the first time since its debut, bringing with it a starry cast including younf Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin, Tony Award nominee Alison Pill, film favorite Matthew Modine, House star Jennifer Morrison and Tony Award winner Elizabeth Franz. While the material may be familiar, the production is anything but--set in the round at Circle in the Square, the Kate Whoriskey-helmed drama aims to breath new life into a piece of history most audiences have known since middle school.
