Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks' The Book of Grace, starring Elizabeth Marvel, John Doman and Amari Cheatom, celebrated its March 17 opening at the Public Theater a day early. This searing new drama is the story of one Texas family’s ill-fated reunion set on the edge of the of the US/Mexico border. Directed by James Macdonald, the relentlessly tense new play had audiences on the edge of their seats until curtain call.
