The Scottsboro Boys - Broadway

Susan Stroman directs the world premiere of Kander and Ebb's musical.

Here Come the Boys! The Scottsboro Boys Make Their Way to Broadway on Opening Night

A piece of American history has now been brought back to life on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre, where The Scottsboro Boys opened on October 31. The musical, which marks the final chapter in a glittering partnership between Tony winners John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, tells the true story of a group of young African-American men falsely accused of attacking white women in 1930s Alabama. After an electrifying opening night performance, Broadway.com caught up with the show's Tony-winning director/choreographer Susan Stroman, book writer David Thompson and Kander to discuss their longtime collaboration and why audiences can't afford to miss the Scottsboro story. Stars John Cullum, Joshua Henry, Colman Domingo and Forrest McClendon also chimed in on the perks of working with these theater greats. Click below to find out more!
