Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson fans, lend us your ears! Have you ever found yourself asking, “Why would someone write a musical about Andrew Jackson?” or, “what is an emo rock musical, anyway?” Bloody composer Michael Friedman has answers. To shed some light on the creation of this rock musical/history lesson, Friedman sat down to a piano at Joe’s Pub, near the Public Theater stage that hosted Bloody’s thrice extended off-Broadway run.
