Tony winner Anika Noni Rose will team with Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown for a series of concerts at Henry Street Settlement's Abrons Arts Center. The concerts take place April 28 through 30 and will be filmed for PBS. An air date has yet to be determined. The duo previously performed the concert last September in London accompanied by Brown's band The Caucasian Rhythm Kings.
Brown is a Tony winner for the 1998 musical Parade. His other shows include 13 and off-Broadway's Songs for a New World and The Last Five Years.
Rose received a Tony Award for her performance in Caroline, or Change. Her other Broadway credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Footloose. Her film credits include movie musicals Dreamgirls, The Princess and the Frog and From Justin to Kelly. She is currently featured in TV's The Good Wife and has also appeared in The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and The Starter Wife.
