Good vibes were everywhere on May 5 when the starry cast of The Normal Heart, with a little help from Broadway.com, welcomed an enthusiastic group of teens from the Ali Forney Center backstage for a green room photo op. The play, about the early days of the AIDS epidemic in New York City’s gay community, has a special resonance for the organization, which offers support for homeless LGBT youth in the city. After taking in Larry Kramer’s emotional piece, these young people headed behind the scenes to meet stars like Ellen Barkin, Joe Mantello, John Benjamin Hickey, Jim Parsons and Lee Pace.
