The fifth episode of Sister Lives: Backstage at ‘Sister Act’ with Sarah Bolt found our intrepid video blogger delving into the lives of some of Broadway’s unsung heroes: understudies, swings and behind-the-scenes geniuses of all sorts. Ever thought, "What is a swing, anyway?" Bolt gets the scoop from Natalie Bradshaw! After a singing shout out to Sister Lives superfan Gabrielle, Bolt hit the backstage boards to chat up Christina DeCicco and Lael Van Keuren, who shared a week stepping in for Marla Mindelle as Sister Mary Robert and (at least for DeCicco) “trying not to throw up the entire time.” She also scored an invitation to a place called the “batcave” ("not unlike a Turkish prison") chatted up the fabulous folks in charge of things like props and automation and, thankfully, found out what automation is.
