As New Directions and the Troubletones went head to head for a mash-up competition on the November 15 episode of Glee, Broadway.com asked readers to vote for which musical combo number was their favorite. The votes are tallied; take a look at the results below!
1. "Rumor Has It/Someone Like You" - 68%
Mercedes (Amber Riley), Santana (Naya Rivera) and the ladies of the Troubletones looked to Adele for their mash-up inspiration by combining two hits from the British Grammy winner's smash album 21. In previous episodes Glee covered Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and "Turning Tables."
2. "You and I/You and I" - 18%
To kick off the mash-up competition, McKinley High faculty members Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and Ms. Corcoran (Idina Menzel) decided to combine two songs with the same title. The number started with Lady Gaga's "You and I" before transitioning into Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle's song of the same name.
3. "I Can't Go For That/You Make My Dreams" - 9%
For their performance, New Directions decided to break out some neon T-shirts, white blazers and bushy mustaches to channel the irresistible '80s vibe of Hall and Oates.
