Domesticated, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park, The Pain and the Itch), will get a spot in Lincoln Center Theater’s 2012-2013 off-Broadway season at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. No casting or plot information has been announced.
According to a spokesperson at LCT, Domesticated had a recent reading at the theater directed by Tony winner Anna Shapiro (August: Osage County and starring Bill Pullman and Laurie Metcalf, who is already committed to the Broadway premiere of David Mamet’s The Anarchist in fall 2012. Mary Beth Peil, Betsy Aidem and Annie Parisse (an original cast member in Playwrights Horizons’ 2010 premiere of Clybourne Park) also participated in the reading.
Norris' Clybourne Park, winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, will get a new production at L.A.’s Mark Taper Forum in January 2012 that will reportedly transfer to Broadway in the spring. No casting has been announced; original director Pam MacKinnon will helm the L.A. staging of the play.
