After giving birth to son Nathaniel Diggs with fellow Rent alum Taye Diggs, the Broadway veteran came to a startling revelation: “I’m fat and I need a job.” So when asked to play the mother to 25 year-old actress Lea Michele on Glee, the 40 year-old stage diva took on the role with a “glass half-full” mentality despite the obvious idiosyncrasies.
