'Old Jews Telling Jokes' opens May 20 at off-Broadway's Westside Theatre.

The new comedy revue Old Jews Telling Jokes is set for off-Broadway’s Westside Theatre. Created by Peter Gethers and Daniel Okrent, the forthcoming production features five actors reinventing and paying tribute to classic jokes and comic songs. Directed by Marc Bruni, Old Jews Telling Jokes begins previews May 1 and opens officially on May 20. Casting will be announced shortly.

Old Jews Telling Jokes is inspired by the website OldJewsTellingJokes.com, and features both brand new and satisfyingly old songs and jokes. If you’ve ever had a mother, visited a doctor, or walked into a bar with a priest, a rabbi and a frog, Old Jews Telling Jokes will sit in the dark, give you a second opinion, and ask you where you got that.

The creative team includes set and video designer David Gallo, lighting designer Jeff Croiter, costume designer Alejo Vietti and sound designers Richard Fitzgerald and Sound Associates.
