The world premiere of David Rabe’s drama An Early History of Fire is currently electrifying audiences at off-Broadway’s Acorn Theatre, starring Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Set in the midwest in the 1960s, An Early History of Fire centers around Danny (Stockman), a small-town man who discovers The Catcher in the Rye, On the Road and marijuana by way of Karen (van der Boom), who has just returned from college back east. Broadway.com recently chatted with Rabe, Stockman, van der Boom, cast members Gordon Clapp and Erin Darke and director Jo Bonney about the New Group's glimmering new production.
