CBS has ordered the new TV series Partners, starring How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying's Michael Urie, for their fall season, according to TVLine.com. Written and produced by Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, Partners also stars David Krumholtz (Numb3rs), Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill), Brandon Routh (Chuck) and Lucy Davis (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip). The series' pilot is directed by James Burrows. No premiere date has been announced.

Partners centers around Charlie (Krumholtz) and Louis (Urie), two business partners who are also old friends. Charlie is straight and Louis is gay. When Charlie decides to propose to his girlfriend, Louis’ over-the-top attempts to be a supportive friend could result in the breakup of his own relationship.

Urie made his Broadway debut as Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. His film and TV credits include Ugly Betty, Submissions Only and The Decoy Bride. Urie has appeared off-Broadway in Angels in America and The Temperamentals.
