Kristin Chenoweth returned to the set of The Good Wife, according to TVLine.com. The Emmy and Tony winner was set to appear in a multiple episode arc of the CBS series, but had to drop out after sustaining a serious head injury on set in July. “I was able to go back a shoot a short scene with Alan Cumming on The Good Wife,” Chenoweth posted on her Twitter page.
Chenoweth only completed filming one episode of her planned arc before a piece of lighting equipment struck the actress on set. She will appear as a political reporter on the series' September 30 season premiere. Chenoweth’s GCB co-star Miriam Shor later joined The Good Wife cast as a political reporter, though she is not a direct replacement for the reporter Chenoweth was set to play.
Chenoweth won a Tony Award for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and has also starred on Broadway in Wicked, Promises, Promises, The Apple Tree, Epic Proportions and Steel Pier. Her film and TV credits include Annie, Bewitched, The West Wing, Stranger Than Fiction, The Pink Panther, Glee, Running With Scissors, GCB and an Emmy-winning turn on Pushing Daisies.
