'The Book of Mormon' will open in London in March.

The London premiere of the Tony-winning musical The Book of Mormon will open at at the Prince of Wales Theatre on March 21, 2013. As previously announced, the production will begin previews February 25, 2013. Casting will be announced shortly.

The Book of Mormon follows two mismatched missionaries who are sent to Uganda to spread word of their religion. Upon arrival, however, the duo realizes their training hardly prepared them for the unsettling realities of African life. Featuring a score and book by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone alongside Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon opened on Broadway on March 24, 2011. The musical, which is co-directed by Parker and Casey Nicholaw, won nine Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Like the Broadway production, the London production will feature set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, sound design by Brian Ronan, orchestrations by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus and music supervision and vocal arrangements by Oremus.
