Thomas Sadoski, Peter Katona and Laura Heisler will star in Michael Golamco's Build at the Geffen Playhouse's Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater in Los Angeles. Directed by Will Frears, the production will begin previews October 9, with opening night scheduled for October 24. The show runs through November 18.
Build follows Kip (Sadoski) and Will (Katona), friends who became Silicon Valley icons after creating a bestselling video game. Success however drives the pair apart as Will becomes obsessed with business and Kip becomes a recluse after the death of his wife. When they reunite to launch a new game, Will realizes his friend has built an alarming and bizarre new world in which to escape his problems.
Sadoski has appeared on Broadway in Other Desert Cities, reasons to be pretty, The House of Blue Leaves and Reckless. He also stars on TV's The Newsroom. Katona's off-Broadway credits include Twelfth Night, Big Trouble in Little Hazzard and A Feminine Ending. Heisler has appeared on Broadway in Coram Boy and off-Broadway in The Mistakes Madeline Made and Everything Will Be Different.
The production will feature scenic design by Sibyl Wickersheimer, costume design by E.B. Brooks, lighting design by Daniel Ionazzi and sound design by Vincent Olivieri.
