Sarah Jessica Parker Gets Back to Her Annie Roots on Glee

Sarah Jessica Parker Gets Back to Her Annie Roots on Glee
Sarah Jessica Parker in 'Glee' & as Annie on Broadway
Sarah Jessica Parker performs 'Annie' then and now.

Before she strutted the streets of New York as Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker knew the city from an orphan's point of view. As the actress makes her Glee debut on September 27, the Emmy winner looks back to her childhood days spent as the star Annie. In the upcoming episode Parker performs a mash-up of the classic Annie tune "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" and “The Way You Look Tonight.” Parker, who plays Vogue.com editor Isabelle Wright, sings the number as she performs a makeover on Rachel (Lea Michele) with the help of Kurt (Chris Colfer). Listen to Parker and Colfer’s big Glee number in the first video, then watch a young SJP singing another Annie tune, “I Don’t Need Anything But You,” afterward. If Parker can transform herself from a big-haired tween to fashion icon, Rachel is in good hands.
