Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher and starring Seth Numrich, Danny Burstein and Tony Shalhoub, the drama will play the Belasco Theatre beginning November 8. Opening night is set for December 6.

Golden Boy is the story of Joe Bonaparte (Numrich), a young, gifted violinist who is torn between pursuing a career in music and earning big money as a prize fighter. The play originally premiered on Broadway in 1937 and has only been revived once, in 1952 at the ANTA Playhouse (now the August Wilson Theatre).

The cast will also feature Anthony Crivello (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Lucas Caleb Rooney (The Country Girl), Michael Aronov (Blood and Gifts), Danny Mastrogiorgio (Wait Until Dark), Sean Cullen (South Pacific), Dagmara Dominczyk (The Violet Hour), Ned Eisenberg (Awake and Sing!), Brad Fleischer (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo), Karl Glusman (The Seagull), Jonathan Hadary (Spamalot), Daniel Jenkins (Billy Elliot), Dion Mucciacito (The Age of Iron), Vayu O'Donnell (Man and Boy), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck, Dexter) and David Wohl (Fiddler on the Roof).

Golden Boy will feature set design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Donald Holder and sound design by Peter John Still and Marc Salzberg.
