Date Set for 2013 Olivier Awards at London's Royal Opera House

The 37th Olivier Awards will take place on April 28, 2013 at London’s Royal Opera House. Nominations for the awards, which honor the best in West End theater, will be announced on March 26. Eligible productions will have to open by March 5 to be considered.

The Society of London Theatre, which organizes the Oliviers, is expected to announce further plans for the 2013 ceremony in late January. The Royal Opera House hosted the 2012 Olivier Awards on April 15, 2012.

Imelda Staunton and Michael Ball have served as the ceremony's hosts for the past two years, with the Broadway-bound musical Matilda taking top honors at the 2012 awards. No hosts for the 2013 edition have been announced at this time.
