The Iceman Cometh & Follies Win Big at Chicago's Jeff Awards

'The Iceman Cometh' and 'Follies' took home top honors at the Chicago Jeff Awards.

The winners of the 44th Annual Jeff Equity Awards, which honor the best of Chicago’s theater offerings, were announced in a ceremony at Drury Lane Oakbrook on October 15. Among the big winners of the night: Goodman Theatre’s The Iceman Cometh, which took home six awards as the top large-scale play, and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre's Follies, which won honors for a large musical. The Joseph Jefferson Awards (named for actor/comedian Joseph Jefferson) have honored Chicago theater since 1968, with a committee of 52 members evaluating over 250 theatrical productions every year.
