Broadway Cares Benefit Gypsy of the Year Sets Dates

The 24th annual Gypsy of the Year competition will be held at the New Amsterdam Theatre on December 3 and December 4, with appearances by dozens of New York theater's most popular performers.  

Benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Gypsy of the Year is the culmination of six weeks of intensive fundraising by Broadway, off-Broadway and national touring companies. The event features original skits, songs and dances performed by some of the most talented singers and dancers of the New York theatre community (known as "gypsies").

Seth Rudetsky (The Ritz) will serve as host of the event. Awards will be presented to the top fundraisers, and for the best presentation during the two shows. Participation stars will be announced at a later date.
