David Henry Hwang’s Golden Child is bringing a taste of Fujian, China, to off-Broadway’s Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, and on November 13, the cast celebrated their official opening night. Set in the early 1900s, Golden Child is the story of a polygamous Chinese patriarch whose family engages in a dangerous power struggle after he decides to instill Western values into his home. Golden Child company members Jennifer Lim, Julyana Soelistyo, Greg Watanabe, Lesley Hu, Annie Q, Matthew Maher, director Leigh Silverman and more celebrated opening night with friends and family at the Pershing Square Signature Center.
