Directed by Brian Kulick, and featuring new music by Tony winner Duncan Sheik, the production will begin performances on May 2, 2013. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The Caucasian Chalk Circle tells the tale of a young servant girl named Grusche who, after a military coup in a small town in the princedom of Grusinia, rescues a baby abandoned by the governor and his wife. Risking her life to protect the helpless infant, Grusche and the child embark on a journey of mutual survival that ultimately raises the question of who has parental rights over the boy, the woman who gave him life or the one who sustained it.

Lloyd is most well-known for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future franchise. His other film and TV credits include Clue, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Addams Family, Angels in the Outfield, Man on the Moon, Spin City and Taxi.
