TV Land’s sophomore comedy Retired At 35, which stars George Segal, Jessica Walter and Tony winner Marissa Jaret Winokur, has turned in early. Deadline reports that the network decided not to order additional episodes of the show, making it the network's first original series to ever be cancelled.
Retired At 35 followed David (Johnathan McClain), a successful New York businessman who moves to a Florida retirement community to reconnect with his parents (Segal and Walter). Winokur played Amy, David’s sharp-tongued sister whose bad habit of choosing men left her personal life in a mess.
The series debuted in January 2011, marking the second original series for TV Land, following the success of the Betty White-starring Hot In Cleveland. The second season premiered earlier this June.
