The lyrical language of Quiara Alegria Hudes’ Pultzer Prize-winning Water by the Spoonful came alive on January 8, when the cast of the moving family drama celebrated their official opening night. Directed by Davis McCallum, the Second Stage production tells the story of Elliot (Armando Riesco), a solider who has recently returned from Iraq to connect with his family, who are dealing with troubles of their own. After the moving drama, Hudes, McCallum, Riesco, Colon-Zayas, Bill Heck, Frankie Faison, Zabryna Guevara, Sue Jean Kim and Ryan Shams joined their friends and family for an opening night party.
