Les Misérables Soundtrack Hits the Top Spot on the Billboard 200
Russell Crowe & Hugh Jackman in 'Les Miserables'
'Les Miz' has reached No. 1 on the 'Billboard' 200 music chart.

Do you hear the people sing? It's probably because the Les Misérables soundtrack landed at number one on the album charts this week. According to Billboard, the soundtrack sold over 92,000 copies this week, becoming the first number one soundtrack on the Billboard 200 since The Hunger Games last April.

Les Miz 's soundtrack declined 32% in sales since the previous week, but still managed to beat hot albums from Mumford & Sons, Taylor Swift, Phillip Phillips, Alicia Keys and P!nk. The last movie musical to hit the the top of the charts was Mamma Mia! in 2008. Les Miz even recently crossed the $100 million mark at the domestic box office.

In celebration of the film’s achievement, let’s all watch Samantha Barks sing her face off again below!
