How do you celebrate a Broadway legend’s 80th birthday? With a cake at curtain call, of course! Iconic theater actress Chita Rivera celebrated her big day right where she belongs, on stage at Studio 54, where she’s playing the surreptitious Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. At the close of the January 23 matinee, Rivera received a very happy birthday surprise from her Drood cast members, who popped up on stage and led the audience in a "Happy Birthday" serenade. The best part is, Broadway.com was there to catch the celebration! Check out the exclusive shots of Chita’s big birthday bash, and many happy returns to a legendary Broadway star.
