About the Show
Rehearsals are underway for Atlantic Theater Company's world premiere of The Lying Lesson, a new comedy by Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss, Reckless, The Light in the Piazza). Starring Emmy-winning Wicked vet Carol Kane and newcomer Mickey Sumner, the play is set in a seaside village in Maine, where a woman who may or may not be movie star Bette Davis (Kane) shows up with a new “assistant” (Sumner) to buy the home of an elderly couple. Check out this rehearsal shot of Sumner and Kane seated in front of their Tony-nominated director, Pam MacKinnon, and Craig Lucas, then make plans to see The Lying Lesson, which runs at Atlantic’s Linda Gross Theater from February 20 through March 31.
