Shaun Taylor-Corbett's 'Distant Thunder' will be part of Amas Musical Theatre Lab's readings series.

Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark's Robert Cuccioli will lead a reading of new musical Distant Thunder as part of the developmental Amas Musical Theatre Lab Series. The show features music and lyrics by Shaun Taylor-Corbett and Chris Wiseman, a book by Lynne Taylor-Corbett and additional music and lyrics by Robert Lindsey-Nassif. Two readings of the show will take place on February 28 and March 1 at the Players Theatre.

In addition to Cuccioli, the reading will feature Leslie Alexander, Spencer Batiste, Danny Bernardy, Ryan Duncan, Christine LaDuca, Shayna Jackson, Michael Murnoch, Marisa Quinn, Paul Ponterelli, Courtney Reed, Johann Robert and Joseph Firecrow.

Distant Thunder tells the present-day story of attorney Darrell Walters, a young half-Blackfeet-half-white outsider raised in Chicago, as he returns to his tribe seeking reconciliation with his father. His homecoming however unwittingly sets off a firestorm of crisis.
