Woody Allen's new film Blue Jasmine, which features Orphans star Alec Baldwin and The Big Knife's Bobby Cannavale, will bloom in theaters this summer. The star-studded film, which was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics, will be released in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on July 26, according to EW.com.
Two-time Tony nominee Cannavale spoke to Broadway.com last summer about the film, calling it "a dream come true" to be working with the legendary Oscar-winning writer/director. "I’m a huge Woody Allen fan," Cannavale said, as he was getting ready to take off to San Francisco to shoot the film.
In addition to Baldwin and Cannavale, the top-notch cast of Blue Jasmine also features Cate Blanchett, Louis C.K., Peter Sarsgaard, Tony nominee Michael Stuhlbarg, Andrew Dice Clay and Sally Hawkins.
