Go Inside Willemijn Verkaik’s Wicked-ly Wonderful Opening Night as Broadway's New Elphaba
Willemijn Verkaik.

Willemijn Verkaik is the latest headliner to fly into the Broadway blockbuster Wicked. Embraced the world over, Verkaik has played the role of Elphaba over 1,000 times and in three different languages. The Dutch stage star broke out as the original Elphie in the German production and cast recording, as well as through viral YouTube videos of her performance. On February 12, Verkaik's Wicked journey came full circle as she made her Broadway debut as the musical’s misunderstood green witch at the Gershwin Theatre. Check out the curtain call photos below of Verkaik with co-stars Alli Mauzey, Kyle Dean Massey and more, and don’t miss this international wonder live through May 26.
