Watch Composer Alan Menken's Comic Ode to Broadway on ABC's The Neighbors
Simon Templeman & Toks Olagundoye in 'The Neighbors'
The aliens of 'The Neighbors' get introduced to Broadway courtesy of Alan Menken.

The alien-themed ABC sitcom The Neighbors is a lot like Broadway: everything is whacky, nothing is ordinary and, of course, anything goes! So, we're surprised it took the show's creators this long to do a musical-themed episode. Luckily, they tapped one of Broadway's best composers to handle song duties. For the March 13 episode, titled "Sing Like a Larry Bird," composer Alan Menken penned an amusing song for the alien residents of Hidden Hills, who dream of a life being as "big, bold and bright as a Broadway show!" Whether they fancy using a public restroom, trying all 50 Shades of Grey or smacking the entire cast of Glee, these aliens just want to take over the world (no pun intended). Watch Menken's tribute to the Great White Way below!
